u understand the logic in my comment though? remember all these people n groups that came out n were huge right off the back? Hanson, Spice Girls, Backstreet Boys, Ashanti, etc. they were huge, n it came all too fast, then get tired and want somethin new, n they wont be able 2 supply it. Carrie has that WOW factor, but its just commin too fast. People that dont jump the gun are around longer then people who have it all right away, Reba for example has been around for 30 years. get what im sayin?

That's the thing though, IT WASN"T HIS OWN. Daughtry even admitted that he copied LIVE'S version here. There was no creativity in his part. He took an arrangement LIVE created and made, and sang it on this show. All the praise he got from Simon for the songs arrangement and creativity deserved to go to the band Live. All Chris did was sing it, and nowhere near as well as the Cashman or the dude from Live sang it.

Catseye664,I was with u 100% until u brought Carrie Underwood in2 this. Now,I love the classics.Johnny got me in2 country music,& I Walk the Line is my favourite song of all time. However, artists like Carrie make me feel like music still has a fighting chance. Some of her recent releases are a little popish, but her voice totally has that "WOW" factor that Johnny & so many other country greats had.Listen 2 her version of How Great Thou Art,& please let me know if u still feel the same way about her.
