Using http://youtube.com/watch?v=67c... for reference (sorry for poor quality!), compare terminals and other landmarks to see how quick the acceleration and how steep the takeoff were. Even with the displaced threshold, rotating at the piano keys is rare! United 757 to Denver.

You got that right.I watched a light 757 leave Grand Cayman a few years back and was stunned at the short ground roll and angle of attack during climbout. My daughter-in-law was aboard that flight and was also impressed,she wet her knickers.

Nothing's like a 757 takeoff. Back in August flew in a fully loaded DL 757 and the plane took off like it was nothing. Most overpowered plane ever. Too bad it ended production because used 757s are in high demand now for trans-atlantic routes.

And no I wasn't dissing Rolls engines, the RB211 is one of the best engines ever built they just aren't this aircraft.

Ok, this is my second and last comment on Youtube ever! If you read my first earlier comment, it was merely clarifying what engines are on this aircraft. Until YouTube bans lunatics like the one that replied, I will not visit this site again!
