I am a 60 yo black confident woman;'Something New, 2006, it reminds me of my family values & the conflicts that created turmoils which resided in me at the time. After 30 yrs of the divorce (divorce is unheard of in my family)my ex and I watched our daughter developed into a strong woman, wife, & mother; this song is special to me, last month I made a public marriage proposal to the love of my life while we were dancing to this song at my family reunion, of course, he said yes!!!

i absolutely agree wit u,dat film is awesome i love it,i also heard this song on there and i had 2 come find it as well cos i fell in love wit this song wen i 1st heard it on Something New...it rocks!!

Always been a fan of Jill Scott's sultry and deep music. But man, I heard this song at the end of that movie "Something New (2006)" and had to find it. That's an excellent Romance/Drama film by the way, I personally recommend everyone see it.

I LOVE this song her family sounds kind of like fun, even though they argue and sometimes don't agree you can tell there is still love and when it gets down to it, it's everyone's family in a way.
