That's a Fender/Rhodes Piano Bass. He's using it with some kind of distortion.

I hear an F then Bb then Eb F Eb F. He only uses chords from the pentatonic minor it seems.

It's all preference really. I agree it had very little soul, which is a big thing with the Stripes and the main reason I like them, but this seemed like more of a rehearsal session then any genuine performance. But with all of that in mind, it still sounded good to me. |
