The Lord Jesus Christ is coming soon. Are you ready? You can be! For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. Whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. Behold the Lord Jesus Christ is coming soon! Call upon the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ and you will be ready!

This was recorded in August 1932, featuring Matty Malneck conducting members of Paul Whiteman's orchestra {whom Mildred was recording with at that time}. Incidentally, Hoagy Carmichael first recorded "Rockin' Chair" for Victor in May 1930, leading an rousing "all-star" session he personally hand-picked [featuring Benny Goodman, Bix Beiderbecke, Bubber Miley, Eddie Lang & Joe Venuti, etc.] and delivering a "talk-vocal" with Irving Brodsky.. |
