I am a huge White Stripes fan...have been since their first. I listen to their music almost daily. I can say Meg isn't a very good drummer...nothing special there. What grants their music a complexity, that apparently we don't understand if we think she isn't that good, is not Meg...it's Jack's amazing ability to play guitar, piano, sing, write music and play drums. Jack has recorded drums for quite a few of their songs. Meg does fine for the White Stripes...but alone she's nothing special.

sorry...but what's so great about her? what she does works for the white stripes. her style is very simple...linear...she never uses fills...average at best. neil peart would be an example of a great drummer. |
